Jennette Turner is a dedicated dietary counselor and public health professional. As a pioneer in the Twin Cities’ natural foods world, improving individual and community health has been at the heart of her work for over twenty five years. Known as a go-to source for practical nutrition information, Jennette has focused on helping her clients and students make sustainable dietary changes, teaching them how to eat well and feel better.
Jennette has published dozens of articles on nutrition and food, and created hundreds of recipes for grocery stores. Her meal planning and recipe subscription service, Dinner with Jennette, ran for seven years. She has also led popular health workshops in private, public, and non-profit settings, taught cooking classes, and provided worksite wellness programs to businesses across Minnesota.
For the past ten years, Jennette has worked in the field of public health. At HealthPartners, an integrated health care system, she led an innovative clinic-based health promotion program for patients and providers. She also developed their first health coaching program, and maintained a practice seeing patients there. In 2021, she moved to Hennepin Healthcare, Minnesota’s largest safety-net hospital and clinic system, where she works on projects that address food insecurity in the patient population.
